People maybe aren’t living so much longer
I saw a guy on CNBC awhile ago, an actuary from one of the big insurers, say that average life expectancy gains have mostly come from massive decreases in infant mortality. He also said poor kids have heat in their homes and plenty to eat, so the number of child deaths has decreased so much that it only looks like people are living longer.
Think about it, if you go from 5% of the people not making to 6 like in 1900, to only .1%, it will look skewed.
We have done a great job taking care of kids in our society, and that’s a big part of it. Look at how old all the original presidents lived. They didn’t all die 50.
